Please buff the other cqc weapons
I'm so sick and tired of running Mastiff just so I don't automatically lose cqc if someone is running one.

@Zamaha400 I'm not "sleeping" on the RE-45 it's one of my favorite pistols in the game but I also won't lie to myself and say RE-45>Mastiff. When I say "compete" I mean make people decide whether they should take gun 1 or gun 2 just like how it was with r-99 and PK back then. There's a reason why most Diamond+ players opt to run Mastiff as secondary.
@Daze623 Ah fair enough. I consider the RE-45 as lethal as the Mastiff but it's limited to a similar range and takes more skill. For that reason I wouldn't take an RE-45 over the Mastiff.
I definitely wouldn't take Mastiff over the R301/R-99/devotion/volt/G7.
Depending on the situation I'd take the longbow, Hemlock, Spitfire, Flatline, Prowler.
You're right about the close range guns for the most part. I don't bother with the Mozambique, Eva-8, P2020, or especially the Alternator. The P2020 is actually decent but nobody would argue against buffing the other three.
- @Zamaha400 I did say that this is about CQC and how no other CQC weapon is currently competing with Mastiff's spot apart from the two care package weapons(r-99,peacekeeper and devo if you manage to spin it up without getting two tapped). I don't think they can nerf Mastiff without absolutely butchering the gun so I just wish they would buff the other CQC weapons instead.
FYI in a random loot drop battle royal game, while I do believe there needs to be balance between finding weapons and armor, I don't think all weapons should be created equal. It's pretty clear to me that a Mastiff should generally eclipse a P2020 or Re.45, everything else being equal.
- @KelRiever true that not all gun should be equal but when you have only 1 gun in high tier for CQC then there's gonna be a big issue as it would just go down to "If you don't have ____ then you lose" which is a problem that needs to be addressed and balanced out.

@matzesingt The Mastiff is well balanced there's just a crowd of people that dislike it. Sucks I guess? I hold a powerful hatred for the Volt and R-99 but try to keep my opinion to myself unless there's a balance issue.
@Daze623 You're right that most close range weapons can't compete. I don't care because I personally haven't seen it as a problem but that statement is true.

not to mention that that thing is even more broken earlygame vs barely kitted guns...since hey mastiff doesnt need anything its allrdy broken in base version - @CAGOA34 I have 1vs3 people with other guns. Just depends on the situation as to whether or not I can make it work.
@matzesingt I'm not sure what they run in diamond lobby so I can't verify that. If it's truly a popular weapon above Platinum then there must be a reason. I'm open to that but so far there are only 2 decent reasons given.
#1. Its excellent at peeking when the target is close range. High damage shots with minimal chance to fight back.
#2. Since the first shot is instant the TTK is arguably how long it takes to fire the second. Gives the Mastiff a remarkably short TTK when you know the target is pushing close range.
Honestly those are decent arguments but they're buried under so much nonsense around the horizontal spread and how easy it is to use (all shotguns are easy) it's harder to focus on any real points.
I also wonder if theres anything else OP about the gun but it's hard to trust players' opinions now.
