What?
1000 "artificial" bans per day?
Respawn reported 16000 "artificial" bans?
Now cheaters are "artificial" players?
Interesting ...

16000 is a large number indeed. That is until you consider the player base of 25000000. It's .00064 of the players. Sure, theirs plenty more to be caught. But stop acting like half the people you see are cheaters lol.

Exactly.

Their ARE NOT 25,000,000 players idiots. Thats registered account, half of which are fake/inactive. I have worked for Internet companies, most accounts for free sites are bots/inactive/multiple account/re-reg's of banned accounts.
The highest concurrent users EA reported was 2 million, and that is a peak amount which has decreased since. This game Apex Legends has single handily boosted EA's stock price so YES, EA is going to report all peak numbers EXCEPT for cheaters.
16,000 was after two weeks. I can't even imagine what the number is now but I doubt we will ever hear what it is again because EA does not want negative press about this game.
Considering someone posted a video of a streamer cheating, who was applying for a Pro team, and he was not detected by Respawn or EA, that shows that cheating is RAMPANT in this game.

25 mil registered users not actual players. Last reported (as far as I remember) it was 2 mil concurent players at its peak. Yeah 16k is still nothing compared to 2 mil but that's still 16k less cheaters to worry about.

Oh wow so 16k out of 2m.
Still a very low percentage. You guys are responding in such a way that makes me think you feel personally attacked. Why?
All I'm saying is that there is far less cheaters than this forum leads you to think there are. I'm willing to bet that many of these posts are made from people coming out of a game where they just got laser beamed and are upset about it. They think they got killed by a hacker because they want to validate themselves, sorry but it's probably true based on the posts I've been seeing.I've seen it for years and years. Someone questioned how long I've been playing - well I'd say competitively since CS 1.3 so that's around 2001. 18 years is probably older than some of you. Through out all that time I've seen the same thing over and over again. People calling hax way too often. I've personally been banned more than a few times from pub servers because of cheat accusations - Again not a brag. I'm NOWHERE near as good as Shroud. but what if you went against him unknowingly? Would you think he was cheating? I'm gonna go ahead out on a limb here and say yes based off what I've been seeing here in the forums.
Perhaps I should have titled the thread "Artificially Inflated" or something like that idk... The title makes sense to me. You guys are making it out to sound like there is a hacker in every single one of your games. There more than likely is not. Guns have very low recoil, aiming is easy and getting consecutive head shots with the wingman really isn't hard at all. Seeing silhouettes through smoke is fairly easy and who's to say that person who "killed you thru smoke omg" didn't have a digital threat? Same thing, over and over again.
Once again, for the record, THERE ARE CHEATERS IN THIS GAME. I am WELL aware of that. Cheating is a problem, nobody likes it. Just stop over blowing the situation.

So in your opinion the 16000 originally banned was a very large portion of the entire cheater community?
And the 1000 players banned every day since is also the largest portion of the cheater community?
What makes you feel this way?
We need to consider anticheat like a filter, no cheat filter is perfect, most are actually very poor and rely on human interpretation to enable the bans, hence why these cheaters are not instantly banned upon committing the act.
I would say even 50% is extremely generous to expect being caught.
Plus you need to consider attachment rate, casuals arent playing this game 14hrs a day, but the people so obsessed with winning are, and these are the people who pay real money for cheats.
So of the 600,000 concurrent players at any given time, well over 1% are likely to be cheating every game!
With 60 players per match that is around 1 cheater in every match on average.
This likely spans between 4-6 cheaters in some matches and none in some others.
Add in the fact many people like OP want to deny what happens,
"oh that guy must have found a OHK gun the second he landed and just one shot our squad with his massive skills regardless if we all have varying levels of armor up to purple, they must just be good and can make guns do 2-3 times more damage then they say on the box"
Or maybe some gods have fallen to earth and decided to spend their powers playing online video games?

The sad thing this kid OP doesn't realize is that 16k was the FIRST week. The cheating problem has literally exploded since then, especially now that the game is gaining traction in China. I'v been recording footage of the cheaters in my games and last night I had 5 super obvious aimbotters in 5/8 matches. Granted, I play on the asia servers so the problem is amplified x100 but it's still a problem on all servers.
