Want my money back bc u changed how the skin looks

I bought an octane skin shurikin showboat on Apex awhile ago , well with this most recent update, the skin now has bright white stars all over it and personality ruins the reason I bought the skin to begin with , if you're gonna change skins months after the released u shouldn't have released it, bottom line is I want my money back , if the skin looked like the way it does now when I bought it , I wouldn't have ever bought it to begin with

  • Apex news “historian” here. Respawn did have 1 instance of a skin refund for everyone. Two years ago, during the Chaos Theory collection event (Caustic’s own event where he got nerfed to the ground), a lot of people bought the Electric Blue Wattson skin. It had a white overall color theme but the white color was just a bug. When it was it fixed, it’s now blue. People got mad of course asking for refunds.

A rare Respawn W happened where they issued refunds to everyone who bought the skin PLUS gave the skin away for free.

@EA_David  Thanks for the help. I'm guessing that pretty soon after you report this issue you will receive a fairly definitive yes or no answer as to the question of whether or not the skin change was intentional (any confirmation of this would be useful info). Or perhaps it might take them a few days to investigate, by which time the skin will no longer be available in the store.. if that is the case, the dilemma is, for anyone who is thinking of buying this skin, should they risk getting it now (before it becomes unavailable) in the hope that it is going to be reverted or fixed at a later point?

Edit- I've seen a few old posts of people saying they thought the original design was too basic so I am starting to think it could be a re-design and not a bug.. it's just hard to believe anyone would prefer the reworked version given the choice (plus it would set a precedent regarding the purchase of skins knowing that any epic skin could potentially be radically reworked at some point after purchase).

  • @MazyRun My advice is to hold on buying the skin. If someone really wants to get the skin, all of the collection event skins come back fairly quickly in the store after a few seasons.
  • @Anidot3 I've noticed that the white star animation is not on the gloves in first person view, maybe that is a sign that the extra animations on the third person model are a bug (but I guess that could also mean that if it is a reworked design they just forgot to include the reworked animations into the first person view model). I was hoping for any kind of confirmation on this issue before the skin left the store (which it has now).

  • @Anidot3 the same thing happened with the "apex jump" skin. It looks terrible, a moving pattern even on the fingers, although it should only be on clothes. They just take and change the skins you bought with real money lol

@EA_David Thanks, can you let us know here when they reply to the bug report, just so we can establish whether or not this was a bug. (Obviously if it turns out to be re-design, and not a bug, the query about the potential for a refund still stands).
