Apex crashes after changing CPU and GPU. Unable to fix.
I had this issue atleast 3 times in the past and I was unable to fix it myself, game updates got rid of crashes but now they're back.
PC Spec: i7 10700K, 2080 Super, 16GB RAM, Z490 Tomahawk, game on HDD, monitor 1440p 165hz gsync.
Game in absolutely random moments will just freeze and simply close, it happenes almost every match, doesn't matter if I'm shooting at enemy or just crouching, also game crashed once in main menu and two times while selecting legend, 10s freeze and then crash without any error. It started happening 3 days ago when I changed my i9 7900X to i7 10700K and 2070Super to 2080 Super. Game ran perfectly fine on heavily overclocked system with i9 but now on clean PC at stock settings it's unplayable.
My failed attempts to fix the crashing:
- Redownloading game
- Reinstalling origin twice
- Reinstalling windows 3 times
- Trying different driver versions
- Turning off gsync, fullscreen optimizations, trying borderless and fullscreen mode, lowering settings, reverting all the overclocks.
Nothing helps, game crashed even on fully clean PC with only origin and nvidia driver installed. I've been trying to solve this issue for 3 days but I'm just unable.
I benchmarked entire PC and tested it in many stability stress tests like Realbench, OCCT, Prime95 and played many other games but they do not crash, my computer is perfectly stable.
I basically changed i9 7900X and 2070S for 10700K and 2080S and Apex became unplayable. Card is fine, I played DOOM Eternal for 3 hours with card fully overclocked which pushed power consumpiton over 300W and game runs like a charm, same goes for Call of Duty MW, Borderlands 3 and RDR2....
I have a crash dump of Apex which weights 190MBs and a screenshot from event viewer.
Game overall runs perfectly smooth at 1440p 130fps+ all the time until it freezes and crashes...
Any possible fixes to this? I tried using solutions from other posts but none of them worked.
