Apex crashes after changing CPU and GPU. Unable to fix.

I had this issue atleast 3 times in the past and I was unable to fix it myself, game updates got rid of crashes but now they're back.
PC Spec: i7 10700K, 2080 Super, 16GB RAM, Z490 Tomahawk, game on HDD, monitor 1440p 165hz gsync.
Game in absolutely random moments will just freeze and simply close, it happenes almost every match, doesn't matter if I'm shooting at enemy or just crouching, also game crashed once in main menu and two times while selecting legend, 10s freeze and then crash without any error. It started happening 3 days ago when I changed my i9 7900X to i7 10700K and 2070Super to 2080 Super. Game ran perfectly fine on heavily overclocked system with i9 but now on clean PC at stock settings it's unplayable.
My failed attempts to fix the crashing:
- Redownloading game
- Reinstalling origin twice
- Reinstalling windows 3 times
- Trying different driver versions
- Turning off gsync, fullscreen optimizations, trying borderless and fullscreen mode, lowering settings, reverting all the overclocks.
Nothing helps, game crashed even on fully clean PC with only origin and nvidia driver installed. I've been trying to solve this issue for 3 days but I'm just unable.
I benchmarked entire PC and tested it in many stability stress tests like Realbench, OCCT, Prime95 and played many other games but they do not crash, my computer is perfectly stable.
I basically changed i9 7900X and 2070S for 10700K and 2080S and Apex became unplayable. Card is fine, I played DOOM Eternal for 3 hours with card fully overclocked which pushed power consumpiton over 300W and game runs like a charm, same goes for Call of Duty MW, Borderlands 3 and RDR2....
I have a crash dump of Apex which weights 190MBs and a screenshot from event viewer.
Game overall runs perfectly smooth at 1440p 130fps+ all the time until it freezes and crashes...
Any possible fixes to this? I tried using solutions from other posts but none of them worked.

Make sure you fully uninstalled your previous video drivers, especially if the previous GPU was an AMD rather than NVIDIA.

If you are getting your audio via HDMI, check if disabling the Realtek audio has an effect.

    Thanks.

  • @EA_Barry Game crashed on freshly installed windows. I can try turning off HDMI sound once I get home but I think I already installed drivers without nvidia sound driver

Please do use HDMI audio and disable the Realtek.

Reinstall the video drivers with the audio component if required.

    Thanks.

  • @EA_Barry I don't have sound with HDMI audio because I'm on headphones. I installed only realtek, origin and nvidia drivers and game crashed after 15 minutes of playing. Fresh windows with nothing running in the backround, zero overlays etc.. I just don't have any more ideas what to do. I had this issue in the past few times and it fixed itself after game update. There is not a single error anywhere to check what might be causing this, nothing in event viewer, I'm not getting apex_crash.txt in My Documents, not even crash dump anymore. Game freezes for 10s and closes...
  • Hey @RNM64506297,

this sounds to me like a typical RAM issue/worng timings or/and voltage. Did you enable xmp in BIOS? If no, do it please.

Did You overclock the 10700K? If not then please check if You have something like "Multi Core Enhancement" enabled for each motherboard it can be named differently - it is basically OC done by motherboard manufacturer and it's enabled out-of-the-box.

  • @PsyhiX69 I think the cpu is either faulty or a very bad sample. It seems unstable even at 5ghz. I did very deep testing and both cores and cache seems unstable even on settings which should be 100% stable. I tested ram in many stress tests but ram seems 100% stable and worked fine with previous cpu. I will try stock setting once I get home and already ordered new cpu to replace this one
