Apex game keeps crashing on Xbox series X

My game keeps crashing on Xbox. 

Hi there, I have an issue where my game keeps crashing on the Xbox series X. The steps I’ve taken to attempt to resolve this are uninstall and reinstall my game, unplug and remove anything attached to the USB port, changed my MAC address, power cycled my Xbox, and cleared local save data. 

Nothing has worked at all yet. Hoping someone can help because it’s creating a lot of issues.

    Thanks for contacting us about this. When the game crashes, what is happening? Is the game closing and sending you back to the Xbox dashboard or are you just disconnecting and returning to the Apex menus?

  • Thank you for responding! It's just booting me out of the game entirely to the xbox dashboard. Sometimes though it will just freeze and not crash me out of the game but majority of the time the game just crashes and sends me to the xbox dashboard.

    Hi there, @Catiecat1995 

    Try deleting the personal saved data for Apex Legends. To do that, please follow these steps. There is the risk of losing offline saves and changes to settings you've made. Normally, those download from the cloud, but I can't guarantee this.

    • Press the Guide button and then highlight the Apex Legends tile.
    • Hit the Menu button. It's the small one to the right of the Guide button with 3 horizontal lines on it.
    • Next, go to Manage game and add-ons > Saved data. Delete the file with your gamertag on it.

  • Thank you again for the help and reply! Unfortunately it didn’t work. I have tried it before as well with no luck. 

    Let me know if there’s another troubleshoot step I should try that I haven’t listed. Thanks again for your help!

    Do you have the game installed on the internal drive or is it on an external one?

    I know this sounds odd, but do you happen to use a custom gamerpic instead of a default one? If so, try switching to a default pic and try again.

  • Not odd at all, I do! I’ll try switching it and see if it improves. Also, with this new update I haven’t had any issues so far but I don’t know if there were some updates that would fix something like this.
