I’ve resolved the issue. Apex seems to have a disagreement with my XMP profile on my RAM kit.
Instead of using XMP, I had to manually time my RAM and voltages.
Apex ran perfectly fine when I disabled XMP and set the RAM speed to 3600MHz, matching the Infinity Fabric of my 5800X3D. I left the rest of the timings on auto but the motherboard ran my RAM at CL36 which is insane.
After some trial and error, I managed to adjust my timings pretty much the same as my kit’s XMP values. It’s worth trying to run your RAM in stock non-XMP settings to see if you encounter the error.
Finally, I don’t think my RAM kit is failing. I ran Memtest86 overnight and got no errors on the default XMP profile for the kit. I also ran another test with the new timings, which are compatible with Apex and yielded no errors.
I’m curious why Apex won’t run at my XMP settings. This is the only game that crashes like this. Regardless, I hope this helps some people.
After some thinking maybe the ram either needed a volt increase or disabled xmp.
but not going to touch it anymore the system is probably as optimised as it will ever get.
