Apex Legends on Steam did not ask to Link EA Account

Hello,

Like I said before, it never gave me the option to link my account. Anywhere.

I have Origin Desktop. I went in to verify everything was good. 

I launched the game and no button to "Link or Create your Account" or "You need an EA account to play" popped up.

It just started the game and my character had my Steam name and was LVL 1.

I want soemone to help me deal with this issue and help me link my EA Account to my Steam.

Hi, your posting account doesn't seem to be linked to a Steam account, so it does sound like for whatever reason your Steam account was already linked to a different EA account. Perhaps you've played another EA game on Steam in the past?

If you reach out to support they should be able to help, by detaching the old persona and linking the correct one. 

Be sure to log into https://help.ea.com/en/ using the Steam login option to make sure you're on the right EA/Steam account. If you're already logged in using the "Veilford" account, log out first.

Yes, I do have 2 accounts on Origin.

Cabronicus and I have Veilford. Veilford shares the same email with my Steam and is my Main Account on Origin.

Hi, I have the same problem. I launched Apex and it did not ask me to sign into my Origin account. I have Origin installed. I dont have Apex installed on Origin because I figured whats the point of having it installed on Origin, if I can just link my account on Steam. 

I would like some assistance with this problem as well.

Am having the same thing apex didnt ask fory origin account and yes...I Bought Titanfall 2 Deluxe Edition and asked me fory origin account.

If that's the case then why can't I see Apex in my Origin Library?

After 45 Minutes in Chat the support worker told me that my origin account is pretty much worthless now, because a diffrent steam account was linked to my origin account before. Not to mention he kept sending me links to help pages that were very long instead of just telling me the stuff. Is there actually no way to ever fix this?

a (4/8/2021, 3:25:39 PM): At the moment, it seems to be working as intended as per the wording in the disclaimer you get on your end via self service tool, and the help article for linking persona. They can relink the same persona again which was unlinked.

So, to whoever still having this problem or whoever in the future having this problem I found the solution to the no prompt. First is that you steam account is link to a whatever EA Account, if you don't know what EA account is link to there is a very easy step for found this out.

1. log in using your steam account.

2. Go to account setting and go to connection.

3. Click Unlink next to you steam account

4. Launch Game again now it should give you a prompt.
