So I was recently playing Apex Legends when I realized that the lobby music was way too small. I checked my volume and it was at 40, which I usually play as. The in-game volume was also normal. I tried restarting origin, Apex Legends, and my computer. Since it didn't fix itself, I was just about to play it. When I was in game, everything was more quiet than usual. When I shot my gun though, it was WAY TOO LOUD, way over the normal volume. I don't know how to fix this issue, does anyone have the same problem?Edit: I realizedthat this was a problem with my whole computer, I still don't know how to fix this or what is causing this.Edit again: Found this was caused when I disabled the loudness equalization on my sound settings, nevermind...

@AviatorPhil1 I have the same problem on ps4. Listening for footsteps that's really low, and the loud bangs from my hemlok. It hurts to use a headset. Please fix?

The gunshots in this game are just too high, that results in too many third, fourth and even fifth parties which hurts the game

I have the same issue. Respawn should add different type of mixing options to the game. Like it is in Warzone.

@AviatorPhil1 I have the same problem on ps4. Listening for footsteps that's really low, and the loud bangs from my hemlok. It hurts to use a headset. Please fix?

@AviatorPhil1 I don't feel enable loudness equalization is the solution as it amplifies every sounds even the faintest one(like some background noise) to the same volume as your gunshot, not to mention the echo from your gunshot now lasts for much longer & louder than it normally should be.

I had a brand new pc setuped and having the same issue as yours. Gunshot volume blasts my ears while I hearing almost nothing from footsteps etc.

Having the same issue after I updated windows, and my headphones doesn't give the option to turn on loud equalization. Tried using galaxy buds because it does have a loud equalization setting, but after I turned it on it has a half a second delay, so I'm stuck with hearing no footsteps or disorienting audio. Also tried uninstalling update besides security related updates but nothing changed. Sigh...

loudness equalisation partially fixed this problem for me, but sound effects and dialogue are still way too low

I recently noticed the difference between a WIN 10 install and a WIN 7, so I'm thinking poorly written audio drivers for old hardware.

Was there ever a solution to this problem? Because I am experiencing the same problem and in order to hear footsteps normally any gunshots have to rupture my ear drums.
