Cursor speed issue after Emergence Update
Ever since the new update I started to experience a severe delay in mouse movement feedback and in game combat mouse movements.
First I noticed the issue in-game while playing my first game in arena that after exiting the arena shop menu my mouse movements felt extremely "Sluggish" as if my mouse sensitivity dropped a few thousand times. Then thinking to my self that it was a known issue I ignored the problem and switched my usual 300 dpi up to 15000dpi after that initial change the usual feel came back, but then I started to experience extreme inaccuracy in shooting as my sights failed to follow my mouse movements properly. As soon as I was aiming down the sights and following a moving character the sights would jump all over the place but would not want to stabilize on target unless I stopped any mouse movement for seconds. It would either over reach or would feel like resisting moving further at times (to make clear this is quite difficult to describe, I would also describe it laggy), the issue persisted with and without a gun, aiming/not aiming.
So I played two more matches in arena one in battle royal, came to a conclusion that this state is unplayable and quit the game.
Today I logged in checked the firing range for the issue, it persists. Checked the forum the issue is not present hence me writing this.
I also noticed that the cursor also "laggs" behind a bit in normal menus in a match or outside of it, and when ever I go into first person, issue described above is still present. That lag begins whenever the initial loading screen is about half way trough.
Changing dpi to 15k from my usual 300 in menus also makes the cursor fly around due to me not being used to it (that's more of my issue).
- Problem started only after last update.
- It is only persistent in Apex Legends.
- Issue makes shooting unplayable.
- Changing program priority in process detail to high does not fix the issue.
Verifying game files integrity trough steam does not help. - Restarting the Game/Steam/PC does not fix the issue.
- Changing internet from cable to wi-fi or to mobile internet does not help.
I wish to play the new event but I find it very frustrating, please help!
@EA_Kent
Ok, so the solution was to scan for malware and to quarantine cheat trainers I had for single player games. Either it was tracking cookies that were in need of deletion.
Either way that restored the game to usual. The only weird thing that I found about this was that the quarantined files were not running while still affecting the game play of apex legends only.
If you are interested in specifics first trainer was located in one of WeMod folders second one was cheat engine trainer for EU IV.Could be a conflict with easy anticheat.
Either way I feel sorry for wasting your time and that I did not run a AV check for malware on my end.
Thank you for trying to help me solve this issue.
