False Permanent Ban on Apex Legends
Hi EA Community / Moderators,
I am posting this in hopes of getting some transparent guidance, as my EA account has been hit with a permanent ban on Apex Legends.
Here’s exactly what I’m dealing with:
The in-game penalty screen states:
“We observed Gameplay enhancement in Apex Legends.”
It defines this as “using unauthorized methods to enhance in-game performance by removing gameplay constraints or improving in-game abilities (e.g. weapon, movement, or item enhancements).”
My ban started on May 05, 2026 and is listed as permanent. My appeal was denied, and a second review simply confirmed the original decision with a generic copy-paste response.
Let me be perfectly clear:
I have never used any cheats, hacks, scripts, macros, third-party software, or any tools that modify gameplay, remove constraints, or enhance weapons/movement/items. I play the game legitimately.
That said, I’m realistic — customer service probably won’t believe me either, since the final decision ultimately rests in EA’s hands anyway.
---
What frustrates me most is how completely meaningless these ban notifications are. They give a broad, vague label like “Gameplay enhancement” without providing any specific date, match ID, behavior, or evidence. How is a player supposed to defend themselves when they aren’t even told what they supposedly did wrong?
I have now submitted two separate appeals to the User Agreement / Terms of Service team. Both times I received the exact same canned email — polite language, links to the Positive Play Charter, and zero additional information. No specific accusation, no request for logs, no opportunity to provide counter-evidence, nothing.
I fully understand that forum moderators and regular support staff cannot overturn or investigate ban appeals. That’s not what I’m asking.
What I am asking for is practical advice:
When submitting an appeal to the User Agreement team, what kind of information or evidence should a player provide to actually have a chance of proving their innocence? Something else? Any real guidance would be appreciated.
If anyone from EA sees this and can point me toward a way to actually resolve this with real human review and proper evidence, I would be grateful.
Thank you.
