Formal Review Request: Accidental Battle Pass Purchase, No Escalation Given
Dear EA Team,
I am submitting this post to request a formal review of an unresolved issue regarding an accidental purchase of the Battle Pass on the final day of the season.
The countdown timer was displayed in a very small and non-prominent area, which led me to unintentionally make the purchase. I contacted EA Support immediately after noticing the issue.
In my request, I clearly explained that:
- The purchase was unintentional
- I am willing to forfeit any gained rewards
- I am only requesting the restoration of 950 Apex Coins, not a refund of real money
Despite this, two different support agents declined to escalate the case. One chat was closed while I was still responding, and the other ended after stating that escalation was not possible. I find this highly inadequate given the nature of the issue.
This is not about preference, but a matter of consumer rights. Under EU and Turkish digital consumer protection laws, unintentional digital purchases with no retained benefit may be subject to corrective action.
I am asking for this issue to be reviewed by a senior representative or EA policy team. I believe this case deserves fair reconsideration.
