Game Freezes for about 6 seconds every 10 seconds

UPDATE 2: Seems fixed now, doesn't look like there's a way to manually fix it, best you can do unfortunately is wait for the next game update after the event is over. really wish they'd properly fix this problem. I am aware this isnt much help, but its the best I can offer.
