I recently linked my Steam account with my EA account.
My Steam account was already a level higher than 500, with all characters, several skins, and money, while my EA account was around level 200, but without skins, and characters.
After linking I lost all my progress on my Steam account, I tried to access EA account to unlink my Steam account, but I can only do so in 6 months, what should I do?

Progress is stored on the EA account itself and not on the platform account (e.g. Steam, Xbox, PSN, Switch)
This means that if you relink one of your platform accounts to a different EA account that it won't bring over the progress.
In your case, the best course of action would be to contact support and see if they'll be able to get your Steam account linked back to the original account and possibly get the lost progress back.
