Is the server select screen accurate?

I am always showing high packet loss on the server select screen. When I do a trace however I do not see this

and playing through Haste shows no or very little packet loss in the post game recap

The only time I feel lag is when others I'm playing with also feel it, but I do regularly get beating to the weapon on drop even though it seems like I'm ahead. Any ideas?

    Hey @BassFaceFPS, 

    If your ping is spiking randomly that might explain why you're only seeing issues in-game and not on the server select screen. Which platform are you playing on?

    @EA_Kent I'm only seeing it on the server select screen rarely in game. Can be as high as 12% on the loading screen yet game is ok. I play on PC. It doesn't happen at all if I play through vpn so maybe something to do with the isp routing, regardless I'd say there is something wrong with the server select screen code.
