LINUX APEX LAUNCH ERROR

Hi

I'm having trouble launching Apex Legends Season 21 on Linux Ubuntu. I keep encountering a crash launch error that says "Unexpected Error #1." I've already tried the following:

  1. Using Proton Experimental.
  2. Switching to the beta version (Bleeding Edge Untested).

I also reinstalled both Steam and the game itself, but the error persists.

Could you please help me with this issue?

    This morning I received an update for Apex Legends, and while the "Unexpected error #1" is gone, the game is now stuck at "EAC initializing." I've waited for over 2 hours, but nothing happens.

    I've tried using different versions of Proton:

    • Proton Experimental (beta version bleeding edge 8.0)
    • Bleeding edge latest & Untested DXVK
    • GE-Proton 9-4

    I also tried installing Steam via Flatpak, but that didn't resolve the issue either.

    Please advise on further steps to resolve this problem.

    I'm updating my OS from ubuntu jammy jellyfish to noble numbat and its working again, no unexpected error or EAC initalizing loop anymore, the game runs fine but has alot of freeze's, just randomly freeze

    ps: sorry if my english is kinda bad, my first language is not english

    I have the ubuntu noble numbat but it still shows "unexpected error #1".

    The anticheat loads but shows error before opening the game. Would love anyone would reply back

    i am having a an "unexpected error#1" showing on my screen everytime i try to run the game.

    the anticheat loads up but then shows this error.i have ubuntu 24.04 Lts, if anyone knows how to fix this pls respond

    i too have noble numbat but it shows "unexpected error#1". Any solution for this?
