Hello, I recently switched to Linux (Nobara KDE), because I was FED UP with the microsoft and windows crap. I understand that Linux offers a much higher control over the system to users and it technically might be inviting for cheaters, but since Steam OS, Steam Deck, GabeCube and other, people started switching to linux.
Another thing, and that's a fact, easy anti-cheat is used in a lot of games, that have no issues on Linux. It's just a couple of games that don't support linux. Whether Linux community is small or big, it still brings money to the table, whether it's a passionate gamer or a sweaty wraith main.
Let's be honest. If someone is a cheater and they cheat on Linux, theres still the fact that even if they were on windows, they would find the way to bypass the EAC and other anticheat softwares with no issues, they always find a way and disabling linux support did, infact, not help with cheaters in apex.
So please, bring the Apex Linux support back. Or maybe let us play anything on Linux. Don't do it just for me or other linux users, do it for the newcomers too. We want to play our favourite games, without the microsoft/windows slop.
ofikoMazu As far as I'm aware of, Linux's removal is/was permanent, (so I don't foresee it making a return).

You are wrong. They actually were hiring to work on this particular issue.
The article you linked reads "could" not "will", and the assumption that in the future Apex on Linux will be re-included is therefore based on supposition. EA have not made a statement about this.
As stated in the Dev Linux Update, the Apex Linux population was small, so it would be safer to assume that if resources are used for future Linux inclusion, they will be directed elsewhere.
I hope this happens too. Shouldn't be labeled as cheaters when the game itself only thrived because of them... just like how tap strafing got removed from controller. And yall lost 250k players atleast on PC. The game has not seen a substantial uplift in players. And its not because the game is bad. Its because the people running the game are asleep at the wheel only in it for the money. This is what titanfall died for?... for you to label your biggest fans as cheaters because you cant implement features correctly. Genius. Can't be false advertising if its a "bug". It never was a bug.. just like supergliding that got implemented.. it wasn't a bug. But our favorite features get removed like punch boosting. this game has a dark pattern of people calling out the nonsense than they do nothing until there is enough uproar. EA in general has that track record.
