Lobby for ex hackers and previously banned accounts

Hi,

2 months ago my account go hacked and it got banned. I've talked with numerous ea agents to explain the situation and try to get my account back. I pretty much had given up hopes on getting my account back so I made a new account. This morning I decided to log on just to see if the ban was finally removed and to my surprise i was able to play Apex again. I was so exited I went and bought some apex coins and was pumped to start grinding on my old account again.

Then things started getting weird, matchmaking took forever, and when the game finally did start there was only 4 squads in the whole game. I thought maybe the servers was messed up so I didn't think much of it. Started another game, same thing, took forever to start and there was only 3 squads when the game started. So I ask my friend if he's having the same issue and he says his game is fine. So i log onto my new account and the game did work fine on that account. I go back on my unbanned account and get my friend to join me and we get in a 3 squad match again. So I ask the random guy that was on our team if he ever got banned before. And he's like yeah this is the strangest thing, i just logged on today after 4 months to see if my account was still banned and he wasn't anymore.

So my guess is that EA has a separate matchmaking server for ex hackers or previously banned account, or the server doesn't recognize accounts that has been banned before and we get stuck in the separate server somehow, Which is completely unfair, I was wrongfully banned, got my account back but I still can't play normal games. So there's no point. I just spent 60$ on coins for nothing. and the EA help Agent i contacted today about this issue told me there is no such thing but clearly there's something wrong with my account if I can't join a regular 20 squad game. He told me to try port forwarding and try this and try that but the problem is, my other account works fine. so it's something to do with the server not recognizing my account or something, nothing to do with my settings or my PC/Internet connection.

Please get this issue fixed or at least is there a way of getting a refund for the Apex coins or transfer them to my new account. This is a complete waste.

Thank you in advance.

  • @CaptainFIex And notice the Red icon in the top right corner, my friend was getting the same thing when he joined my games but not when he was playing by himself. What does this icon mean?

    Hey @CaptainFIex

That is the latency icon meaning the connection is between you and the server takes a while.

Shadow servers as they are called don't exist from what I know but can certainly exist as they are made to keep an eye on players.
But I don't know if EA uses that kind of anti-cheat measures.

If it's just a connection issue, you should get it fixed by troubleshooting your connection.

@Zeelmaekers They definitely do have that kind of server because my game works fine when I play on my new account. And I've asked the players I've been matched with and they also said they've been banned in the past.

I understand it's a reasonable penalty if you've been hacking, but I was wrongfully banned and they have acknowleged that and told me they would unbanned me. I'm happy I did get unbanned but I still can't play normal games. This is like a jail for hackers, if that makes any sense.

    Please help.
