lost progression
so i recently got back into apex after a bit, since i changed platforms and am no longer on xbox i decided to link my steam acc to my xbox ea acc, could this have caused all of my stuff to reset?

Your progress is stored at the EA account level, so by unlinking your Steam from its EA account and linking it to a different one, the progress stays behind.
Your stuff isn't necessarily reset though; your progress should still be there on the EA account. But unfortunately there's no way to transfer progress between EA accounts, so there's no way to "merge" that progress.
