Merging two accounts on the same platform
I am wondering if in season 19 account merging will not only merge the accounts linked to the same EA account but, the accounts that are on the same console as well.

Will most likely be the case, though of course I can't confirm that yet.
They will be merging accounts in waves, so if any issues are spotted, they'll have time to fix it and the amount of accounts affected will be lower.
Respawn has been taking the safe route with cross progression as far I'm aware, since they didn't want to push it out unless they were 100% convinced it wouldn't cause any data loss.
@XHelperZ yeah, that's what it sounds like what they're doing, but can't help the feeling that something is going to somehow go wrong and affect a lot of players.
