Packet Loss

Hello,

I can't tell if this issue is because I have a new AMD PC, or if it is related to the new Season. I am consistently getting Packet Loss as an issue. I've also notice the icons for Congestion and Prediction Error show up. I've never had this issue with my old PC, which I played this past weekend.

The game is basically unplayable right now for me. Lots of lag and stuttering. Tasks take a second or two to complete (e.g., opening a Supply Bin). I am consistently getting 144fps (which is great), but I've noticed my ping hover around 50ms. I don't think the ping is the problem.

I've tried doing a repair a few times now on the game, but it doesn't seem to be working. Could my Ultra settings be affecting my experience? In looking at the temperatures, they seem to be along the lines of a typical Gaming PC (e.g., GPU was around 61 degrees Celsius). Just to see if it was network issues, I booted up Battlefield V through the EA App and had no problem playing on Ultra on the large maps (I believe it was through the Conquest mode). I'm not sure if that helps determine if it's not network or settings related.

Any assistance in this matter would be appreciated!

    Consider this solved!

I tried what you suggested and nothing seemed to work. To answer your question, I don't believe I use a modified CFG since I have no idea what that does (haha).

Going through programs that I wasn't familiar with that likely got installed during the PC setup, I came across a program called "cFosSpeed". Deleting this fixed the issue I was having with Packet Loss, along with the issue of buffering I was experiencing with YouTube. It must have been installed as a result of adding Gigabyte Control Center.

I'm glad it was solved and it just required me to remove a program. I appreciate your help in this matter!

Check a couple of other options:

    1. Disable the Wi-Fi module in the Windows settings "device manager">network adapter>Wi-Fi
    >Temporarily disable all sources of Internet consumption (TV, phone)
    >Close background applications: Programs running in the background can consume Internet traffic and resources of your computer. Close all unnecessary applications and processes to free up resources for the game.
    >Start the game>Go to training>after 5 minutes>go to a normal game.

    1. I disabled the Wi-Fi, and went ahead and just hooked my computer directly in the modem to ensure there were no other networked devices active. I closed background applications and did the training.

Unfortunately, it looks like I still have issues, but maybe this means it could be an ISP issue? I've called a tech with my ISP to stop by to check on my signal strength, etc. They should hopefully be able to stop by early this week.

    2. This one I'll need to work on a bit. I've got a few options as to where I can take the PC to test, but it's not something I'd be able to do today unfortunately.

I appreciate the help and thoroughness! I hope this can be resolved. I'll be sure to provide updates on this as they come along. If there is anything else you can think of that I can try, then I'm all ears. Perhaps I can try my PS5 version?

As an update from my previous post. I had my ISP come over and check on my connections. They ran their tests 3 times and did not find any Packet Loss issues. In fact, they didn't see any problems with the network. A bit odd.

As an additional test, I ran the game on my PS5 and I didn't seem to have issues. I did notice a couple of symbols show up during loading and when I got out of the dropship, but they disappeared afterwards.

I'm not really sure what my other options are. It seems like it may not be an issue with my network? I still haven't had a chance to try my PC on another network. I did try to use the WiFi connection through my PC, but I did not see a difference.
