Hello,
Since the September 29, 2026 update (Apex Legends PC switching to EA Javelin Anticheat), I have been unable to start any match.
Platform: PC ([EA app / Steam / Epic], Windows [version, check via winver])
Username: Lama62153
Game version shown: v3.0.2.44
SID (error screen): 2:1018423:11597049:9c50595e-5200-41a1-ad60-89dd97f5741e
SID (main menu): 2:1018717:11597049:ea3a56af-60a2-4d29-bc52-4e9fbecb66dd
Symptoms:
- When launching the game normally, I get the error: "The client is not running the anti-cheat module or failed anti-cheat authentication."
- When running the launcher as administrator, I can reach the main menu, but the game shows "Squad 0/0" and then "Squad not ready" even though I am alone and ready. Matchmaking never starts.
- No suspension or ban message is displayed.
What I have already tried:
- Repaired the game files, then fully reinstalled the game
- Ran the launcher as administrator
- Disabled Windows Firewall: no change
- Tested with another EA account on the same PC: same problem
- My brother plays Apex on PS5 on the same internet connection with no issues (so my network and EA servers appear fine)
The issue therefore seems to be tied to my PC and to Javelin.
My questions:
1. Is there a known issue with EA Javelin Anticheat since the September 29 migration?
2. Is my account or hardware under any restriction? I have received no notification and have never used any cheat software.
3. What do you recommend I do to fix this?
I have attached two screenshots (the anti-cheat error and the menu showing Squad 0/0).
Thank you in advance for your help.
