Progress lost

I just used EA help to recover my account after it had been hacked into and disabled. Upon logging into apex legends, I found that all my progress has been reset. My EA name is aboot222, my ingame name is ABOOT222, and I am on playstation.

Edit:

I had to change the email address of the ea account. Originally it was connected to my  Playstation account. The person I was talking to at ea help said there was no record of progress on my account and told me to create a post here.

aboot222  So the account was banned after Cross-Progression was added, (only had asked if it was before, as banned accounts were excluded from the Cross-Progression account merge).

In your case, was the EA Account ever unlinked from the PlayStation Account? (Only asking as all your Apex game progress and data is tied to your EA Account, (not your PlayStation Account)).

So, if you had created a new EA Account to link your PlayStation Account to, that would be why the progress and data is missing.

To my knowledge the psn account was never unlinked, and I don't see why it ever would've been. Currently my ea and psn accounts are indeed linked. I checked Garden Warfare 2 and my progress is all there, however my 600 hours of progress on Apex is still missing.

aboot222  There are many ways of signing into your EA Account, (such as with Google):

Since your EA Account was hacked into, the hacker could of remove your PlayStation Account to prevent you from being able to login with via PlayStation, (which would of allowed you to more easily recover your EA Account).

You can check to see if your platform accounts are still linked by signing into your EA Account and then checking the "connected accounts" tab.

I check my connected accounts and my playstation is still connected. I was able to log in using psn when I lost my account, however I couldn't get the verification email as the email address was changed.

aboot222  Depending on how early in 2024 the account was banned, it might of gotten banned prior to the last few waves of Cross-Progression's account merging.

If I remember correctly, Cross-Progression started to roll out to players on October 31st, 2023, (with the last few waves merging accounts in the early months of 2024, (such January through March).

That being said, if the account wasn't yet merged, a ban would of meant a complete lost of its data, as banned accounts were excluded from Cross-Progression.

From the sound of things, your account was unfortunately banned prior to it being merged, (which means that its progress would of been permanently lost).
