    Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1055T Processor (6 CPUs), ~2.8GHz

I know its an old processor now but it should be supported. It runs titanfall, overwatch, etc, etc.

The phenom CPUs can be supported, we just need the devs to fix it.

    ASUSTeK Computer INC. M4A77T/USB3 (AM3)

    Is my motherboard

    AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1055T Processor

    Is the Processor

Can I upgrade my CPU or am I SOL?

I'm willing to do a cheap upgrade to get this playable tbh.

Phenom II is a "best in slot" for AM3 MOBO. This is a point. You need at least change to AM3+ MOBO, for FX CPUs.

You'll need to switch the mobo to support AM3+. Search for used AM3+ motherboards you should usually be able to get one for around 20-30 Eur easy. I suggest you get an AMD FX 6300 CPU at least, even though the minimum says FX 4350 those are harder to come by as the FX 6300 was much more popular and you can usually get a used one for anywhere in the range of 20-40 Eur. Also keep a lookout for FX 8350's as those as well were insanely popular and sometimes come up for similar prices as the FX 6300.

thanks for the reply. You do make it seem easy to create a new budget PC, but the question is how quickly would that be outdated also?

Not sure but its a lot cheaper then getting a new gen cpu + mobo + ddr4 ram. Especially if you already have a decent GPU.

the upgrade wouldn't be for one game. I'd like to play a few other games on my PC (they run on this rig but like garbage),  the new hitman games, newest tomb raider installments, dark souls 3, arkham knight, mankind divided, dishonored 2.. Those are the ones I can think of at the moment.

    I am honestly disappointed. =/

For the first time, I see a situation where a user can not play due to a certain hardware, which in theory should be enough.

Particularly I am able to play, because I have enough configurations for this, but the feeling of not being able to play with my friend of games of always simply because his hardware is a Phenom, that I am sure that would support the game quietly, is without doubt an indescribable disappointment.

I really hope this blocking example does not become something recurring in PC games. I hope this does not become a ridiculous alternative for producers and manufacturers to force consumers to spend what they often do not have, only to profit from them.

For the time being I have only mournings and cry and prefer to choose to believe that all this is only a temporary problem or a purely technical one.

It is regrettable that I can not enjoy this fascinating game with my best friend.

    (Sorry for my bad english)

  • @Jukojar out you from this forum, you do not deserve to write one word in this forum, this forum is made to help one another, not to boast.
  • Just a reminder. UBI had this issue with Anno 1800 Beta Test. They fixed it in one day. They didn't trying to BS gamers that it is impossible or CPU just can't handle the game. They didn't had audacity to tell anyone to buy new PC. They just fixed it. Also they marked the topic as solved after they patched the game not after telling people to F off.

@NotTrenzy I also have the same PC spec as you, the problem is not on our CPU which is not able to run Apex but because of the Instruction Set Extensions SSE4.1 and SSE4.2 contained in the APEX GAME program code, actually this can be patched by rewriting the program code to run cpu that does not have Set Extensions SSE4.1 and SSE4.2, we should wait for EA and RESPAWN whether they will patch or not, sometimes patience can bear frui
