Re: Apex keeps BSODing my computer (kernel security check failure)

That sounds frustrating, blue screens are the last thing you want to see while gaming.
I did some research on the file you provided so it took a bit longer to get back to you.

The game itself will never throw a kernel security check failure, this indicated that something went wrong in your memory.
Looking at the file you provided, there was an issue with the Easy anti-cheat, The application flagged a security issue.
This happens when corruption happens or an application or bad actor wants to control this program.

There are a few options that could trigger this kind of issue:

• A program is interfering with the easy anti-cheat:
  • Go through the applications you installed on your PC, and look for any software that could interfere with that program. If you ever installed cheats for games, doesn't have to be Apex Legends, these might cause this issue. Removing this software is recommended.
    
• Faulty RAM
  • You said you ran a RAM health scan, what were the results of the scan? 
    Could you try running two different RAM health tests to make sure?
• System overclock
  • Have you enabled XMP or any other overclocks, try to run the normal speeds, and check if this solves this issue.
• Corrupted EAC
  • You already mentioned that you repaired the EAC, try a full reinstall of the Easy anti-cheat.

I followed your advice and did a clean reinstall of EAC, which seemed to do the trick for a couple of days as I was able to play as much as I wanted without any blue screens, but yesterday evening my computer crashed twice, so I did another clean install of EAC, but then it crashed again this morning ☹️

About the other possibilities you mentioned, I don't overclock my computer so that can't be it. I also ran one ram health check yesterday, using the Windows memory diagnostic tool, but it didn't flag any errors. I then did another check this afternoon using MemTest86, let my computer do its thing for 3h, then came back and still no errors anywhere.

I guess that means it's something on my computer causing a conflict with EAC? But I've never used any cheating software, so I really don't know where to start looking. Is there a way to pinpoint the cause of the potential conflict?

Updating this because I did a factory reset of my computer, wiped everything and only resintalled part of what I used to have on it, it took the entire afternoon and what a surprise, EAC still made my computer crash, except the error is now "kmode exception not handled" and it explicitely was caused by easyanticheat[.]sys. This is honestly ridiculous, I got this laptop brand new a few years back and I've never used any kind of cheating software at any point, I kept my computer as close to default as possible all these years and I'm still locked out of games using EAC for no reason? This wasn't even the case before, I used to be able to play Fortnite a couple years ago, My computer runs just fine otherwise and has never had any issues so I'm not about to change it, but this is still extremely disappointing. Giving up on this for now.

Don'r let anyone gaslight you into thinking it's your fault. They have crap software and are not willing to admit it. Especially if your c9mpuyer is brand new.

I am getting the same error, absolutely nothing wrong with my PC. This only happens with Apex!
