After more testing, the issue is even worse than I expected.
If Storm Point is visible in the lobby (either in pubs or ranked rotation), the game starts crashing continuously, back to back. You don’t even get a chance to properly select modes or play. The game becomes completely unusable.
I’ve tried everything:
• Clean driver uninstall (AMD Cleanup Utility)
• Fresh driver install
• Shader cache reset (multiple times)
• Verifying game files
Nothing works permanently.
At best, the game runs for 30–60 minutes, and then the crashes start again. But now, even that doesn’t matter because if Storm Point shows up in rotation, crashes begin instantly from the lobby itself.
Key Issue:
• Crash starts just by Storm Point being in rotation
• Happens even without entering the match
• Continuous crashes, back-to-back
• Cannot even select game modes
This is clearly not a user-side issue anymore. Something is seriously broken with Storm Point.
Request to EA:
Please disable Storm Point from rotation immediately or fix this urgently. Right now, the game is literally unplayable for affected players.
There is currently NO reliable workaround.
Note:
Sorry for the confusion earlier I had posted some “fix” methods before that seemed to work temporarily, but they turned out to be misleading as the crashes still come back.
Hopefully some EA devs could fix this issue ASAP its been like this the past 2 stormpoint rotation which is literally not playable (especially for amd users). Hopefully they start looking up to this issue just because it works for Nvidia does not mean they dont have to fix it for us affected players.
