Re: Possible AMD driver bug causing Anti-Cheat bans.
Great to hear that people here are getting their bans lifted!
I just wanted to add my case to the pile of active bans and share my timeline.
9th of October:
- I was banned 4AM UTC
- Submitted a general support ticket about it since I didn't receive an email or see a ban on My Ban History -page
- Received the email saying: "BECAUSE YOUR ACCOUNT WAS CHEATING, WE’VE PERMANENTLY BLOCKED YOUR ACCESS TO APEX LEGENDS’ ONLINE FEATURES." at 10AM UTC
- Submitted an actual ban dispute from My Ban History -page right after receiving the previous email
- Received the "we will not remove the sanction on your account" -email later that afternoon [ Decline ]
11th of October:
- Submitted a second ban dispute asking for the reason of the ban or any clarity into the matter.
- Received an email saying: "After thoroughly investigating your account and concern, we again found that we actioned your account correctly after it was found to have violated our User Agreement. We will also be unable to provide any details regarding our internal procedures." and "After completing two full investigations into your complaint, we consider this matter closed." [ Decline ]
- Just out of curiousity tried to play Apex and I was able to get into matches
I didn't want to risk anything further so I just played and didn't ask any questions. This was the situation for a week.
18th of October:
- I try to play a game after work at 1PM UTC and I get the Banned-message in game
- I submit my third ban dispute and I write as humbly as I possibly can, trying to appeal the decision and again asking to any reason this could be happening
- Received an email saying: "We received your latest message regarding the action taken on your account. We have performed all investigations possible on this issue and will not reverse the decision. Please do not expect further responses on this matter." [ Decline ]
- Later in the evening I find this topic and multiple tweets @EAHelp to fix this and I'm encouraged to send this info to the people reviewing my ban appeals!
- I submit my fourth ban dispute at 9PM UTC with pictures of my driver info and AMD Adrenalin setting plus a link to this topic
19th of October:
- This morning I received an identical copy of the previous email saying: "We received your latest message regarding the action taken on your account. We have performed all investigations possible on this issue and will not reverse the decision. Please do not expect further responses on this matter." [ Decline ]
For reference I have a 7900XT running the 23.9.3 version of Adrenalin and had Anti-Lag+ enabled in all supported games.
