So I got the prompt for cross progression but I had the wrong account linked

So I recently got the cross progression prompt (yesterday) but I realized that I had the wrong EA account being used (for some reason when I switched from Xbox to pc I made a new EA account and had the new one linked with steam) so I unlinked it (I’m aware that apex progression on my newer account will be lost but i'm alright with that) and the linked steam with the correct account and now when loading apex it seems I have my old club tag from my Xbox account.. but that’s it the account is ay lvl 1 so I’m wondering if this would resolve by maybe waiting or what would help, thanks for anyone that can help :D

Also if it helps here's how it went

EA Account 1: Linked with Xbox

EA Account 2: Linked with steam

Then what i did after the prompt

EA Account 1: Linked with Xbox, Linked with steam

EA Account 2: None Linked

So would that mean cross progression for me is gone for me?

For what account did you receive the prompt?
The newly linked account should be able to access the content from your other platforms once it rolls out on that account, but your old progress is pretty much guaranteed to be lost.
If you got the cross progression prompt on EA Account 2 and not on EA Account 1 then you'll still have to wait until you receive the prompt on that account if you want to be able to access your Xbox content on Steam.

Ok so i received the prompt on account 2 and what you're saying is that i'll still get cross progression on account 1 to be able to link with Xbox on steam then? with account 2 content lost on steam also right?

Yes that's correct.
So when your platform accounts merge on account 2, you'll have your Xbox content on Steam whilst also losing the progress you previously had on Steam.

I had the same situation only swapped accounts. I got the cross progression message on my PC account but nothing happened. After looking at where my Xbox account was linked it was the wrong account. a profile I've used maybe twice. So I unlinked from the wrong account and linked to the correct one. No change on my PC account though. Do I have to wait for the message to appear again? Is it going to appear again?
