THE GUNFIRE SOUNDS ARE MAKING ME DEAF, NOT SURE IF ITS A BUG

The gunfire in game recently is super loud. It wasn't like this two days ago and I have been playing every day recently.
Things I have done:

  • Adjusted volume in game
  • Adjusted volume out of game
  • Adjusted headphone/speaker  volume
  • Repaired the game
  • Re-installed the game

What my issue is: If I turn the volume down to make the gunfire quiet, like the sound effects, I can NO LONGER HEAR ANYTHING ELSE IN THE GAME. The gunfire seems to have been boosted for whatever reason. The minute I get into a fight I am lost and confused because I am wincing in pain because of the gunfire, but I have to have the game up almost on max to hear Everything else like footsteps, voice lines, etc.

EVEN GRENADE EXPLOSIONS ARE QUIETER THAN THE GUNFIRE. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING??

I need help!!

Please do no tell me to adjust sound effects I already did that, its bearable on %5 but then i cannot hear anything else but the gunfire so that's NOT a soultion.

SEND HELP ITS DRIVING ME INSANE.

I am not even sure if this is a bug or if its just my PC! I REALLY NEED HELP!

    Hey @magicphobic

It is odd that this just recently started happening. Did you install any sort of sound balancing software recently or anything like that?

  • @magicphobic What headsets are you using and do you have the correct drivers installed? I had the same issue but my drivers were out of date.

Also like Kent said it could be balancing software?
And have you tried uninstalling and re-installing the game?
