Trouble getting 144fps with gtx 980

-Gtx 980 through Display port

-Asus 144hz 1920x1080 monitor

-i7 4790k

-32gb ram

-

Trying to play with 144hz monitor. GPU will only output about 70fps (on average) at LOWEST settings. Anyone getting similar results. I feel I should definitely get better fps with this setup. I've even tried the "-Freq 144" command line arguments inside game settings, from Origin. to no avail... Maybe my settings aren't low enough?

Please help!

    Hey @ScottConover 


    I think hitting 144 FPS with the GTX 980 and I7-4790k is not realistic.
    Maybe clean booted overclocked you should be able to hit 100 FPS but in a few area's.

    But stable 144 fps can be hit on now with higher cards like the RTX series.

    @ScottConover I,m pulling about 55 / 100 FPS on a pants p.c. ( I5 2400 cpu / 1030 gt ddr4 / 16 gig ddr 3 1333mhz ram ) try lowing shadows to low settings and kill v-sink off
