Various actions do not register when being shot at duringor looting

Looting in particular seems to be independent in nature.

I recieve an error tone when looting  various items plain a simple. I can't stantly have to turn around and wait a second for the game to let me pick it up.

I play with a fortified  legend, nd I find that in a lot of situations  my actions do not register when I'm being shot at. I do not experience   this unless someone manages to shoot at me. This is not something I could repeat over and over again.

i also have been experience eacessive

Running and trying to slide seems  to not  work properly when  I'm being  shot.

the same goes  for swapping guns mid fight.

Can you rephrase your initial issue? Getting shot should knock you out of the looting process by default. I'm not sure what you mean by the error tone, do you have a clip of it?

Running and sliding are intentionally affected when you're hit, bullets have a slowdown effect.

Weapon switching shouldn't be affected, but it's easy to panic when getting shot, could that be a factor?

  • I only play Caustic, which from my understanding is a fortified  legend.  And to be  clear About what I mean, by I only play caustic ,  I have 11k  matches with this legend in particular ,   and 3k matches where someone else took Caustic, Or I picked a different legend by mistake.

Sprinting, sliding jumping etc. have been thing's I have  utilized with caustic since the day the fortified perk was introduced, so to say it's things Im mistakenly doing would be an understatement, as it's generally a   mindless habit for me when I'm being shot at. *Operator error* is not off the table, there's just  no way to prove It is, right at this very moment. I do not believe there is a possibility  of me recieving bullet slow. Because in every instance where  my button inputs seem to be omitted, there is  brief instance of time where the game seems to skip over. To clarify, this does not happen  everytime,  and it has been very rare for me to experience this, but recently it feels like it is more common.

Unfortunately I can't find any videos  or examples, that show  this as a problem. Generally  speaking I  believe that Everything I have brought up , can be related  to  Server./performance issues  on one way or another. Aside from the looting issue , I think interactions with enemy players is what trigger the issues.

The Looting issue is  something I have generally experienced  for as long as I can remember, but  I feel like I'm experiencing it more, I normally do not   ever have to loot in the  same manner beyond the beginning of the match, and generally  pick up most things from death boxes,  pick up grounded loot sparingly. In the provided example you would have to play  it with audio to hear the error tone,  as I attwmpt to pick up the heavy mag.(Note:this happens with body shields, guns, etc.)

These are instances where I went to swap my weapon: and  failed to do so:

  • @EA_Davidthe swapping issue is my biggest concern, because when I swap weapons I'm generally
quite conscious of what I'm doing as I usually will swap guns before unloading if I know the last shots will not be enough, or the enemy is shooting at me.

The one example where I'm (ironically) playing wattson, I was honestly taking my time to shoot at the caustic, because He wasn't initially shooting back,  and I thought I had reached a point where he was  guaranteed to  be  knocked down. It was incredibly dissapointing, to see that match go over a weapon swap

, until I put away my 301 and seen I pulled out the same gun

Here is an even better example of the game ommitting my controller inputs , and forcefully lurching me forward.

    https://giant.gfycat.com/SlimShamefulGalah.mp4

I pressed the necessary combination of buttons while I was crouched and in the midst of attempting to press those buttons again my character lurched forward and started the animation  at which I started  to press the trigger to throw it as quickly as possible.

In an attempt to get my ult deployed quickly I threw  my ability  without ideal placement

    Hi, thanks for the videos.

For the last one, I'd guess you're using the default scheme? It looks like the melee button (usually R3) was pushed, hence the lurch and push. Some people change their binds to avoid such a situation, and I've gotten killed more than a handful of times with accidental punches.

I'll go back later and check but in the first clip it looks like the timing was just off for picking up that heavy extended mag, as the button was pressed as you were sweeping over it.

The weapon swaps are weird though. Hypothetically in the first clip you could have auto-swapped, then manually swapped back to the empty 301, then back to the Eva. The 2nd one is very odd, as there was still ammo in your flatline.

If you toggle off "Weapon Auto-Cycle on Empty" does that lessen weirdness around swaps.

I'll pass these on to the appropriate folks, and please keep any weirdness coming.
