Assault's Core Gadget

The Adrenaline Injector is a gadget i never use while playing assault, and I know I'm not the only one.
I believe it's a neat gadget, but as a core gadget, it serves nothing for the team, unlike Recon's Motion Sensor, Support's Supply Bag, and Engineer's Welding Torch.

I'm open to having the Adrenaline Injector as an option for a gadget slot, but the Assaults core gadget needs to be swapped out for something else.

If it were to be swapped out for an existing gadget, I'd pick the Spawn Beacon or the Assault Ladder.
The spawn beacon would be a powerful option, but in certain gamemodes it becomes completely useless unfortunately, which is why i suggest the Assault Ladder aswell. The ladder can be used in any mode, helps your team, and is always handy to have, even if you don't use it often. But the Adrenaline Injector had only been used for challenge purposes in my experience. Other than that I never look at the Injector or even think about it while playing Assault.

It's in a good spot functionally, which is why i believe it shouldnt need a buff or nerf of any kind, but it is so niche for being in the core gadget slot. Having a utility that can help get into potentially trapped or dangerous choke points is a nice option that i'd use on a small modes loadout, tdm, domination, etc.

But in the grand scheme of things, it really doesnt feel like a defining item.
Support keeps you supplied and healthy
Recon lets you know where the bad guys are
Engineer keeps you repaired aswell as repair objectives in Sabotage as of the new 1.1.2.0 update which is incredibly cool.
And Assault shoots up occasionally.

If we were to give Assault a completely original core gadget, I honestly wouldn't know what to give them besides what they already offer in the optional gadget slots. But this is a discussion and i'm sure a lot of people here have some interesting ideas for what it could be! So i invite the discussion here.

  • It is a bit Niche. I agree that the ladder would be a good mainstay. If I'm honest though, I do enjoy the injector. I'd like it if you could use it for a slightly faster revive on a squad mate, not support fast just a bit faster than it is. It's actually really useful if you're close to your squad. You all get the effects. If I've taken damage, I'll hit up on the D-pad. Personally, I'm always using it. Even if it does feel pointless.

I honestly did not know that it affected the squad by default! I thought it only had those effects with the Frontliner Training Path.
I also agree now that you mention the idea of making certain actions faster, nothing ridiculous, but just small buffs that help with getting certain time consuming actions done.
I could see it affecting one of many things: revives, objectives, suppression recovery, resupply speed, in combat state for faster squad spawns, etc.
