Crossplay and Matchmaking discussion ... (Has a problem?)
Hello Everyone!
Since the launch i've done some tests in my ps5, and after reading posts here, reddit, and comments in youtube, i 've noticed that many people are concerned about how crossplay actually works.
After the ign interview from Matthew Nickerson, EA share some notes saying "The crossplay on will prioritize the same plataform for compossing the matchs" but here in game this apparrently dosen't work correctly,
I made today 7 matchs with crossplay on in a row, Conquest and Breakthrough on ps5, and this is my notes and results:
1º Match = 23x24 Players / 16x11 from Pc
2º Match = 31x32 P. / 25x18 Pc
3º Match = 26x28 P. / 16x17 Pc
4ª Match = 24x24 P. / 11x8 Pc
5º Match = 27x37 P. / 18x15 Pc
6º Match = 27x27 P. / 23x20 Pc
7º Match = 28x29 P. / 20x22 Pc
I know, its normal to have mixed players, but 80/70% from one plataform? I have friends going trough the same problem, and others from Xbox.
When we turn off the crossplay, the matchs don't fill and remain with only a couple of 5/7 players fighting bots, in ps5 and xbox too, i read a lot of coments about this issue.
It's impossible to say "The game dosen't sell enough on consoles" if you have the same problem tell here, but in my opinion the game has a matchmaking issue, matchs with this unbalanced players count is boring, in almost all 10 first players are from pc, it's a unfair dispute between Mk and joystick.
Before anyone says it's a skill issue, no it's just reality. We have a fewer resources to compete: Higher fps, faster aiming, control ... Many people are even asking for console-only crossplay. And that's not even what i'm arguing, the fact is, i believe there's some kind og problem with matchmaking. By logically, there should only be a few players from others platform's, according to what was explained
