Feedback after 2 weeks

Visual Glitches

  • Props stuck to character - Me and 2 more teammates were hiding behind a car which got destroyed by a tank, then one of my teammates got a huge panel stuck to his character for a while. Every time I looked in his direction, it covered about 3/4 of my screen.
  • Laser flicker weapon — sometimes it flashes randomly on the screen for a few seconds (happened twice so far).
  • Blurry half screen - The bottom half of the screen becomes blurry for a few seconds right after respawning (happened twice so far).
  • Deploy live preview flicker - The live preview of squadmates before deploying sometimes flickers with black and green lights.
  • Weapon glitch - Spamming prone and reload while being revived, or spamming prone and "1" (for my main weapon), sometimes causes the weapon to glitch — it either appears across the entire screen or disappears completely. When you ADS, the gun model takes over the whole screen and you can’t see anything. Only way to fix it is to die and respawn.
  • Light - Currently every time I exit a building or I try looking out through a window or door I can not see anything because the light becomes so bright that literally everything is white. I lowered the brightness, changed settings looked up online but nothing so far to solve this for me. I understand the point of it but let's lower it a bit, let people see outside windows without needing to fully get out the building to be able to see what is happening.

Gameplay

  • The most annoying and frustrating bug so far is with the movement — when you run or slide into certain terrain or objects, your character gets launched into the air. Sometimes it’s a small jump, other times it sends you flying high above walls, and you can’t do anything until you land. This has gotten me killed way too many times, exposing me mid-air to enemies, happening in every game I play even when I try to be careful and not slide into things.
  • Balancing - Team balancing is really bad in almost every game mode. I’m not sure how the algorithm works, but putting players who farm bots (with 70–80 K/D but poor actual multiplayer skill) together with experienced multiplayer people who have lower K/D but play much smarter just doesn’t make sense. This also applies to cross-platform lobbies — for example, in one Deathmatch I got 3 console teammates and they got absolutely destoryed. I think they had around 5–6 kills combined by the end of the game. Team balancing definitely needs rework.
  • Building collapse stuck - I went prone in a corner, and when the building behind me collapsed, the debris trapped me — couldn’t move at all.
  • Tank drive-by stuck - When I was near a wall and a friendly tank drove through me, it pushed me inside the wall, into an enclosed space with no way out.
  • Portal maps - Many Portal maps have a bugged deploy screen — you can’t use vehicles or spawn at other locations.
  • Unknown crash - While changing a keybind mid-match, the game froze when I opened the settings menu, went black after a few seconds, and then crashed with no error. (happened only once so far)
  • Missions/Assignments - Weekly missions can be way too grindy, especially with limited time to finish them. Same for some assignments — I don’t mind working for rewards i actually love the way they are implemented to keep players focused on objectives, but it shouldn’t be both hard and grindy at the same time. Some current ones feel pretty over the top. This also brings griefing into the matches, when an assignment is so hard to achieve by doing something dumb, you end up losing a lot of games and this takes away the fun to play, also for teammates who get mad at the person who is trying to do it.
  • Bloom/Spread - Weapon bloom/spread feels inconsistent. Some guns are laser-accurate even without attachments, while others seem to miss everything even when perfectly aimed — bullets literally circle around enemies.

Things I'd like to see / Improvements

  • Please add a search bar in the settings menu — there are still duplicate options and some are buried deep. A search function would make life so much easier.
Better descriptions for settings. It’s frustrating that many are barely explained — I constantly have to look them up online. And when you come back weeks later to tweak something, you forget what each setting actually does.
  • Live graphics preview — this would be a huge help. Right now the only way to test visual settings is in an actual match, which isn’t practical. Having a small live preview window (with 2–3 sample environments) would let players instantly see how settings affect visuals and performance.
  • Training map - Speaking of testing — why don’t we have a training map like in BFV anymore? That was such a great feature. You could practice vehicles, weapons, movement, etc. I get that Portal was meant for that, but it’s not the same — you still have to search for specific setups, and most of the time they’re not what you’re looking for.
  • Griefing - A way to report griefing teammates would be great. I’ve had players who got mad for no reason and spent the whole match trolling me or others — standing in front, blocking movement, throwing grenades, etc. Once I had a squadmate clearly using something to keep his character spinning and moving slightly while AFK — he just sat in HQ all game doing nothing.

So far this is all I gathered up in this time. I will give more feedback after season 1 is out probably.
Meanwhile I really hope at least a part of this list will be taken in consideration and maybe even solved/implemented with the new update. Especially the movement bug which is the most terrible and annoying thing for me right now.
