In Battlefield 4, bullets would drop at 6 m/s², 9.81 m/s² or 15 m/s² depending on the weapon, but because sniper rifles didn't all have the same velocity value, the actual curves would be different for each weapon. At 100 meters this didn't matter much yet, but especially at longer distances it'd be quite noticeable. That's why the SRR-61 and M98B were fan favorites, because they had relatively little bullet drop.
I don't exactly know how it works in Battlefield 6, but within 300 meters I feel there's certainly less drop, but beyond that distance, you do notice that some weapons end up dropping off quite sharply. Combine that with the smaller engagement distances and in practice it's just much less difficult to snipe.
If velocity still affects the curve like it did in previous games, the most obvious solution would be to lower the bullet velocity of all sniper rifles.
