Let’s be honest… infantry in Battlefield 6 feels terrible

First problem: Switching between your primary and secondary weapon feels really slow. This also applies when you use a gadget and then try to switch back to your primary or secondary weapon—it just takes too long.

Second problem: Visibility. Player skins blend in too much with the ground and surroundings, making enemies hard to spot—especially when they’re prone. This issue is even more noticeable on maps like Liberation Peak and New Sobek City. I believe this is also related to the color grading being too warm.

Third problem: The animation from prone to standing is too slow. I know the devs have fixed or updated it multiple times, but the difference doesn’t feel significant.

Fourth problem: There are too many gun attachments. To unlock them, you have to farm XP instead of leveling them up through kills like in Battlefield 2042. Why do gun attachments require up to level 40, while vehicle loadouts only go up to level 20?

Fifth problem: The Engineer’s repair ability is too fast. MBTs and IFVs become overly durable when multiple Engineers are repairing them from behind. This is especially noticeable on maps like Siege of Cairo, where it’s very hard to destroy these vehicles because so many Engineers are constantly repairing them.

    1. Seems fine to me.
    2. Player skins should blend with surroundings. It's called camouflage. Nothing worse than that stupid glowing edge around every enemy that they had in BF4, for example. Although yeah, color grading works negatively in this case.
    3. Seems fine to me.
    4. Not too many, but maybe too many useless ones. I don't know why on earth I would need 5 variants of 1.5x scope on a sniper rifle, for example. But I like it that you need to spend a lot of time with a weapon to unlock them all.
    5. This is a classic Battlefield, um, feature. I agree that maybe the repair speed should be limited to a certain value if multiple engineers repair the same vehicle simultaneously.
  • Couldn't disagree more.
Game feels great. Feels Immersive. Feels way more realistic than previous BF games.
Sounds to me you could enjoy more from arcade style COD games. its way faster.

The COD developers introduced MW2 with a more realistic concept, such as visual recoil and movement penalties to reduce abused bunny hopping. Players criticized it, and quickly the following year, the developers released MW3, removing those realistic concepts. The majority of players don’t want realism, because that type of gameplay already exists in other games like Tarkov. Maybe you like it, but the majority don't. Thats why people leaving this game.

It might feel okay if you’re a casual player, but I play a lot of Assault and Engineer classes. My playstyle is fast-paced and focused on pushing enemies. I often die while switching from my primary to secondary weapon.

If you enjoy spending a lot of time grinding attachments, that’s exactly what Call of Duty is doing. From what I see, the developers are trying to combine COD-style gameplay with elements of realism and players hate it.

Let's go easy on the "casual", shall we? Assault is my favorite class in BF6, and it's fast enough. Battlefield was never about being fast-paced in the first place. If you die often when switching, you should probably finetune your style a little. I also have a bad habit of reloading after every kill, and it's only my fault when I die while doing it.

Enemies should be hard to spot. That's the whole point and idea of camouflage. Having skins with silly bright colours on is the complete opposite of what we should be getting.
