I get why custom servers have progression disabled. There is too much opportunity to make subtle changes in custom servers that make a big difference in XP which would be hard for EA to monitor and give a fair weight against. But, the root of the problem, for me, is that people should be able to make hardcore servers without making the server custom and causing all that to happen. People can make a hardcore rush, conquest, and breakthrough server and not affect progression at all. Why not the other modes that the game has, supports, and provides in softcore variants? I mean, if you are making a ton of custom stuff, sure, make a custom server. But why does every server that isn't conquest, rush, or breakthrough HAVE to be custom?!?!?! Remember past battlefield games which weren't this way?
