Getting shot at doesn’t stop someone from firing back. Sure, it’s annoying if you think you’re going to kill someone but they instead land a clean shot on you then you flop dead . A 5.56×45 LMG can make accurate point-target hits out to about 500–600 meters, and a 7.62×51 NATO LMG stays effective past 600–800 meters, so 200 meters is basically point-blank range for both. Same with shotguns. Modern slugs are accurate to 150–200 yards, and even basic Foster slugs stay reliable to 75–100 yards. Even past their accurate range, slugs still carry massive stopping power. They don’t suddenly turn harmless at long distance.
The RPG and the tree stuff annoys me the most. The game uses these weird invisible hitboxes around everything that block rounds when nothing is actually there. You can see through barbed wire but can’t shoot through it, yet somehow you can still get hit through it. Total hitbox jank. RPGs don’t even kill on direct hits most of the time and all the explosives seem way too weak, like when a tank blows up and players just run off like nothing happened.
