Error code undefine error 1:86001S:89001S: ######
Regarding all trouble shoot:
Issue: connection and logging into the servers
Solvable: Unlikely as this is an internal issue on EA's and AWS side.
Good afternoon or Good evening everyone in USA or Pacific Asia. I bring you an update on my finding regarding this issue.
Turns out a lot of people been experiencing the server error code Undefine error 1:86001S:89001S ###### quite frequently. Turns out there are a lot of trouble shooting tips to use and test.
(Dont bother and dont waste your time. Non- of these trouble shooting methods that I have tried for the past 10 days have any effect on the games avoidance of undefine error 1:86001S:89001S######)
All trouble shooting method shown for Ps5 console should be void and avoided.- unplugging console for 5 min
- unplugging router for 5min (not 20secs)
- uninstalling and reinstalling game
- not installing redsec
- clearing cache in safe mode
- rebuilding data
- rebuilding software data
- removing data
- upgrading internet
I have tried multiple times and memorized all occurrence and event regarding this issue. Even campaign mode does not bother the connection to the server or game.
Therefore, after doing this multiple times without rest (10 days worth of it without battlefield) I have discovered the undefine error is mostly and im 100% certain, it's an EA and AWS connectivity error. Ive been trouble shooting this on multiple occasion.
What should the BATTLEFIELD COMMUNITY DO?
Complain Complain Complain.
Let them know its an error that they need to fix not us.
All methodology is pointless. EA is responsible to fix the connection. Not you, not the gamer, EA and AWS are soul responsible for this.
I hope this bring to light more on this so called error
Undefine error 1:8600:8900:7C:-##########
What should you do when you successfully log in?
Play battlefield when you have the chance! YOu may never know when the servers will go down again. - f46bc1bb02e7f03b6 days agoSeasoned Newcomer
I have ran into the same issue with my sons account which is also connected to the same email as my account. My account has no issues. I have spent about 5 hours working with the EA advisors (which suck) and finally got the response of "hat, we are receiving many contacts for the same issues recently and we have also reported the same with our studio team and they are working on it to fix this issue". So they have no fix for the issue and I was told to try again later. Also to note they claim to have no phone numbers to contact anyone about the issues, however, their headquarters are in Redwood California with a phone number of 1-650-628-1500. They have business hours of 8-5 Monday thru Friday so I guess if there isn't a fix for it by Monday maybe start making some calls.

Hi,
Same issue on my sons account, Pay for a game and can't even play it.
I cannot even log into his account on the ea website, comes up with error incorrect credentials, reset his password and then it just says the same thing.Tried to talk to EA, useless can't even create a ticket, gets you to fill on a form then just shows two articles.
We just keep going in circles with EA help and making no progress. So infuriating

Having same issues with sons account, he was able to play without issue until redsec update, now he gets the error described here.
I am able to play Battlefield 6 on the same Xbox Series X without any trouble. While searching my email for EA, I did notice an email from December 2024 about maintaining his access to his EA account. They wanted me to verify with Kids Web Services (KWS), which I didn't do as they were asking for lots of personal info and documents, which I don't trust them with. I wonder if this has anything to do with it.
Strange that he was able to play during the beta, and for the couple of weeks after launch.

So i posted about the same problem in another thread, but i bump this one as well, since it contains more information for other affected users. My son's account is unable to play BF6 with the same error message. Me and his brother, who is 15, play without issues. The interesting thing is that:
- He was UNABLE to play Battlefront 2 with his account as well.
- He CAN play BF2042.
- Was playing BF6 at launch, no issues, UNTIL the latest update.
- Trying to log into his EA account, it tries to send verification code to the parent /Me/, but afterwards gives error.
- I DON'T have his EA account in my family settings, because it's generated automatically when he first tried to play an EA title on his Xbox. The information when trying to access it shows some random generated EA e-mail, i have no access to.
- I've changed his birth date on Xbox, hoping it will fix his issue with EA, but to no avail.
It's a loop hole, the EA support is useless, i can't link his xbox to a new EA account. I've spent hours and hours to find a solution. Nothing... and i'm slowly going nuts.
We got frustrated and ended up creating a new account/username for him so he can now play but he had to start over.

Still having the issue. Chatted with EA Support and they told me to "report the issue with EA Forums and they can help you..."
Based on this information in this post, I think we can narrow it down to age-restricted EA accounts and how they are accessed after the RedSec update. In my case, it was working just fine for the beta and stopped working exactly when Season 1 was released. As far as updates are concerned... not looking too good right now. I got the exact same response as SGTSAPPER12B20. I think they're just copying/pasting their responses and closing out the support cases. Either that or EA Support has gone full AI.

Yeah, i tried to chat with "EA representative" which turned out to be AI - was copy/pasting some BS from their rulebook all the time, totally unrelated to the problem.
