Walmart said I should be getting a new code in 48 hours yesterday, so I am trying see if that resolves it. But customer services really didnt seem like they knew what I was talking about

Update on my situation, Walmart wanted me to send back my game so they could resend a new game which would generate a new code. They unable to generate a new code without a new game. I proceeded to tell them that didnt make sense because the game works fine, I need a new code that you guys emailed to me. It dont make sense I have a ps5 game and you are saying EA generated a XBox code for a ps5 game.

Same thing happened to me. Preordered the PS5 Steelbook and received an XBOX code via email. Walmart said it was EA that had to resolve this issue. Started a “case”. Let’s see where it goes. Definitely will not be preordering anything through Walmart again.

Just got off the phone with Walmart customer service, [Phone number removed]-925-6278. They said they will be emailing me a new, corrected code within 24hrs. I let them know the code I got seemed like a code for Xbox, 25 characters. I ordered a ps5 version. So, hopefully I'll get a usable code.

I got the code before the game came out and it was an Xbox code from Walmart. Been trying to have them fix this but they are now saying that EA has to fix this. I'm calling @*%^$%#@ on Walmart crappy customer service.
Sony won't do anything with this and I know that so hopefully EA can get this resolved.

I just heard back from EA and they said that they can't do anything as Walmart bought the game and we have to go through them.

I've gotten no traction with my EA cases. Each time I open a case, it just sends me a non-relevant auto-reply about the Madden / NCAA 25 pre-order bonus and the case auto-closes.
I am concerned seeing the back and forth some of y'all are encountering between Walmart and EA. These situations are so frustrating and such a waste of time for everyone involved.

They told me the same thing and I called back in 48 hours and they told me they needed me to return the game to get a new code. I told them that made no sense because the game is fine I just need a new code. They were telling me to generate a new code they need to order a new game. I was like, how does that make sense, I got PS5 and you provided me a code for another system. It seems like a simple fix but everyone making it difficult. I miss the days the codes just came in the cover of the game.

It is and I feel like that EA should just give us the correct code and stop dealing with places like Walmart who outsourcing their Customer Service is not helping as you can barely hear them or understand them.
