So I've managed to play through the introductory bit, in the infirmary when trying to leave the game crashed with a DirectX error popup saying the following:
See a few others have ran into this, any ideas on what to try? Reinstall the latest Nvidia driver?
I'm having this same problem, this same pop-up every 20 or 30 minutes of gameplay. Please fix this soon.
It's frustrating having to resort to using tricks to deal with this problem. And for those of us who don't have English as our mother tongue, it's even more complex
I am getting the same issue as the OP, but with an Nvidia RTX 4060 laptop. I have provided a dxdiag of my computer. It's crashed on me twice now. Fortunately, Alt+tab and clicking the X on DA:TV works for closing the game.
I had the same issue, couldn’t play more than a few minutes without crashing. With my GPU drivers updated to the latest.

Adding my issue to the list. For me this is happening a little under once every 2 hours running from Steam. GPU, Mobo and Windows are all up to date. GPU doesn't appear to be overheating and this issue has occurred twice during cutscenes and twice while running around.
No other game has caused this issue since building the pc, leading me to believe it's not the pc that's at fault, here, although it's possible that the latest driver updates are causing the problem since the GPU was the last thing I updated before installing and running the game.

I get RADAR_PRE_LEAK_64 in my dxdiag, too. After some googling, it appears to be purely informational message, so I have no idea how this is related to the game crashing
Same issue for me DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG. This is so frustrating. I have been a long time console player and always argued with my friend how I didnt wanna deal with this kind of nonsense and the less frames and slightly lowered textures were worth not ever having issues playing on console. I FINALLY caved bought a PC from a person I thought was a friend who ended up burning me. Anway here we are 1 am and im trying to play a new game but I have to be on forums trying to figure out how to play longer than 10 minutes. This is terrible.

I want to report that I have the same issue.
The Radeon VII is a bit more obscure but should have no issues running this game.
I have the same issue, the same "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED" - tried clean reinstall drivers, tried system file checker, tried running
as admin, no full screen optimisation, deleting shaders folder, repairing game files on stem, etc.
Nothing helps, after about an hour of gameplay it crashes with this error.
Got ryzen 7800 x3D + rtx 4090, custom loop watercooling, the system definitely isnt overheting or anything.
So it seems not to be a rig problem cause you sound covered in that regard.
This works for me. Go to the game files. Open the shader_cache File an delete this 2459419382.PcDx12. After 6 times crashes in the character creation menu.
