BF4 does not launch on STEAM and/or EA app

So I just bought BF4 Premium Edition on Steam, I download the game and it prompt me to install EA app so I did, I even signed in. The game does not launch no matter what. When I press "Play" on Steam it'll show "running" for a second, then EA app launches right after but the game does not launch.  I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling BF4 and still nothing, I tried checking the integrity of the game via Steam app but still no luck. I even set admin rights on Steam and EA app yet nothing works. I even launched EA app before Steam then launch BF4 but nothing happens. I tried launching on both apps, I even tried reinstalling the game on another drive and I still get the same result. I've gone through forums and tried step by step troubleshooting but I'll always end up with the same result; a game that doesn't run. I need help, if there's a fix please respond. Attached is a copy of my DxDiag. TYIA

  • Thanks to you, I just downloaded and installed Origin and it worked! Thank you. When I bought the game through Steam it lead me to download EA app which didn't work. Now it does with Origin thank to you.

    That's where I downloaded origin

  • I had a similar problem. I just needed to download Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 x64 ,because when you downloaded EA App, it won't automatically download and install All Microsoft C++ files for some reason. Like I said, you just need to download Microsoft C++ 2013 x64. For me problem was solved.

@jsowad345 Its because EA App won't download All Microsoft C++ Files. Origin app does. For me, I just manually installed C++ 2013 x64 from Microsoft and everything worked fine.
  • @rec0n_1996 Hey dude, It is not working even though i downloaded C++ 2013 x64 as well as all the other versions. I bought BF4 on saturday (thru EA) and still troubleshooting it but not working whatsoever. Any ideas ? I tried everything mentionned on the helps and the forums, and for instance BF3 works fine without downloading anything.
Btw there is no more origin, now it is EA app. Thanks for any help you can provide 🙂
  • Guys, what worked for me was following this video and then when you are in the programdata folder type 'ea' in the search bar and delete everything related to the ea app. (beware, there is other files and folders appearing in the search results, so make sure you only delete ea app files and folders). Then reinstall the ea app.

  • Make sure you delete all the files and folders related to ea after uninstalling. I remember deleting 3 things or so. If that doesn't work then i don't know what might help. Sorry
