DA: Inquisition Requires Epic when purchased on EA app

I bought Dragon Age Inquisition a long time ago. I can't remember much about when, but I used whatever EA's thing was at the time, I'm thinking Origin, and I bought it through there. When I go to the ea app, I can see the games I've purchased. I installed Dragon Age from there, but every time I launch it, it launches the Epic Games store, as if to verify the purchase. But I don't own the game on Epic, so it just kind of fiddles out into nothing, and goes back to the epic library. I've tried reinstalling all apps, updating drivers, 7 different solutions from semi-related forum posts. But no matter what I do, the game will not launch. Epic just pops up. I even uninstalled Epic, and the app tells me I need to DOWNLOAD Epic, and errors out. What the heck is going on? Please help. :(

    Please clear your temp files:

    • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time to open the Run dialog box.
    • Into the new window, type or copy & paste:  "%temp%"  (Without the quotes.) > hit "ENTER"
    • Now your Windows Explorer should have brought you to the "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Local\\Temp" folder. > Delete all files and folders in it.
(If some files or folders can't be deleted, reboot and try again.)

    Then:

    • Go here and download "Revo Uninstaller. (The freeware version, Portable version works too.)
    • Run "Revo Uninstaller" > Uninstall EA app.
    • At the end of the main uninstall, Revo will ask you which cleaning method you want to use. > Select "Advance" > Browse.
    • If "Remaining registration content found" is displayed > Select All > Delete > Next
    • When "Remaining Data and Folders" is displayed > Select All > Delete.
    • Restart the PC
    • Download a new EA app setup exe from here. (Do it even if you already have the installer!)
    • Install EA app.
    • Run EA app as Administrator > Click the EA app shortcut on your desktop > Run as Administrator.
    • Test.

I followed these instructions, uninstalled the app using Revo and then reinstalled from the link provided. At first I had an infinite loading bar while trying to launch, and then after I tried again, it launched Epic again.

Quasidefault When you made the original purchase, it would have been through Origin (Now the EA app) but since it is account based, the launcher only matters if it was purchased through the Epic store. What you’re describing is typically one of these two things:

    1. You’re not actually launching the “EA app-owned” build of the game (the install you have is the Epic build for some reason, or it still has Epic’s markers on your PC), or
    2. Your EA App has associated that game entitlement with Epic’s “partner launch” path (an account/linking/entitlement mismatch or a launcher bug).

Can I get the EA ID you log into the EA app with? Also, can you go ahead and log into EA.com and check your linked accounts to make sure there is or is not an Epic account linked?
