EA App Freezes PC on Login Splash page

Question

I recently built a new PC and downloaded the EA app to play my games, but when I go to the log in splash screen it freezes the entire computer as I am trying to login. I cannot close any apps, but I can open apps but cannot interact with them. The windows key also is working but will not launch apps.

All of my drivers for my PC hardware, and windows updates are up to date as well. Every other app and game works perfectly fine, it is just EA that makes it freeze. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the EA app, and even repairing it, but it has not fixed anything. Please help.

PC specs:

CPU: Ryzen 5 5500GT

GPU: Msi GT 1030

Ram: G.Skill ripjaws 2x8gb 3200mhz

mobo: asus prime b550a-m WiFi I

Some troubleshooting steps:&nbsp;

Download and install all available Windows Updates
Turn off the EA app overlay via the three bar menu at top left, Settings, Application, In-game overlay

Run System File Checker to help ensure the integrity of your Windows System files: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833
