EA App Not Launching

I am experiencing persistent issues with the EA App on my Mac. The application will not open at all—when I attempt to launch it, nothing happens and the login screen never appears, the app simply bounces in the dock and then disappears.

System details:

  • Device: MacBook Air, Retina- 13 inch, 2019
  • macOS version: Sonoma 14.7.8

Troubleshooting steps I have already tried:

  1. Uninstalled and reinstalled the EA App multiple times.
  2. Deleted related folders (EA, Sims, cache, and preferences) from ~/Library and /Library.
  3. Attempted to move the EA App to both ~/Applications and /Applications.
  4. Cleared cache and preference files manually.
  5. Restarted the Mac between installations.
  6. Relocated Sims data folders to an external drive to see if this resolved the issue; completely uninstalled and deleted Sims4 from everywhere
  7. Updated my macOS

  • Hiya, I am having a similar issue since I updated my Mac to macOS Sequoia 15.7. Hopefully it's only a bug with the MacOS. I am hoping updating it to MacOS Tahoe 26 will fix it 🤞 wishing you luck as well

  • Hiya All,

I am having an issue with launching the EA app. I was able to yesterday before I updated my MAC to macOS Sequoia 15.7 but unfortunately I am unable to launch it since doing this. I was wondering if anyone else is having the same problem and is able to point me into the right direction to solve this issue.

Currently hoping for macOS Tahoe 26 to fix it once updated... but I bet it won't.

    Many thanks :)

I have now updated my macOS twice, still no solution so I am guessing that isn't the issue. I cannot find any other possibility for a fix tho :(
