Sims 4 Game Crash and Subsequent Failure to Launch

I had the game crash on me around 20 to 30 minutes ago. The screen whited out, and I couldn't close the window, so I shut down my PC. I turned it on again after a minute, waited a bit for everything to start up, then tried to launch Sims 4 again through the EA app. Immediately, the window showed "EA not responding". The EA window then closed itself and, a few moments later, I got the following message on my screen (which I have attached a screenshot of):

Unable to start:
The EA app is currently not running. Please make sure that the EA app is running before attempting to play The Sims 4.
[d3382ced:00000000:00000000:00000000]

Is this an error on my end? Could a mod potentially have caused an issue? I have all my Mods through CurseForge and updated them all before launching the game in the first instance, so they are all definitely up to date.

Any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated!

I have also sent an error report as well, just to be safe 😅

Chloe_Parker05 wwill0 Did you restart your computer after seeing this error? If not, please do so now. The EA App doesn't always work properly after it or the game crashes.

Mods are less likely to cause this than other more well-known errors, but it's always a good idea to test with your Mods folder removed.

This has just happened to me as well! Game has been crashing a lot more in the last couple of days. Crashed again after around 10 mins of playing, then tried to reopen and had this happen. Tried all the usual fixes (repairing game, deleting cache etc) but it still does it. Have you had any luck with fixing it yet??

I have no idea what fixed this but after a few more attempts to open the game it just... worked lol. Thanks for the advice anyway, didn't know that about the EA app so will watch out in the future!

Sorry for responding so late.
Eventually, I just ended up leaving it, but I tried the following day after shutting down my PC overnight, and it worked. Thank you for the tip, though. I'm sure that's probably what was wrong with it, and I'll keep it in mind if I ever come across errors in the future.
