Sims 4 "You don't have access" Bought on steam

Right. I know I'm not the only one with this issue and I'm sure we're all sick of it.

 

Bought the game on steam and EA demands you launch it through their heap of blah app instead of the platform they put it on. 

 

It was JUST connected to my steam because why would I want to connect my steam to THIS for any other reason? So I KNOW it's on the right account.

 

I've uninstalled and reinstalled. Cleared the cache. Restarted my entire PC Twice. Logged out and In. Repaired the game. Moved the folder it's on so it's on the same folder. Downloaded it through EA instead of steam.

Still got it.

 

Tried reaching out to support but of course its an AI Bot that just parrots the forums. So EA support I am kindly asking that you actually assist us with this. I can launch Sims 2 perfectly fine, but 4 is an issue. Look through the forums and I am far from being alone. According to one of your OWN posts you've been working on this since 2023 so please, let us have access before the 25th anniversary, yeah?

Didnt work for me, but hey might help someone.

I'm wondering if the reason it won't work is I once launched sims 4 on EA which might be why its moaning. Did a fresh install through stream though and it's still not working.
