I would like to add an important detail. I also have FC 25 installed on the same PC via EA, and I used the exact same FIFA Mod Manager to install mods there. However, I NEVER used Live Editor on FC 25. Surprisingly, FC 25 still launches and plays perfectly fine with mods. This confirms that the issue is specific to FC 26.
