I have tried reinstlling the EA App several times. My EA Profile has the correct country (Switzerland) and the language set to German. When I login to the EA App on Windows, the App is in English and in the settings the dropdown List shows me nothing else than English. This means that I cannot not choose any other language than English for my games like FC 25 during the installation. There is a dropdown list but English is the only option. Please help! PS. My windows is set to German, my keyboard is German, my browser is set to German language... just everything is German and all the other apps like Steam etc work perfectly fine in German. Just the EA App makes everything ridiculously complicated CM edit: edited title for clarity.

I have the same problem with the French language. The country is France but the language is English and it is impossible to change it in the drop-down menu.

So you both are saying that in the EA app Settings > Application > Application settings > Language, English is the only available option for you?

Same here!
I tried changing the language by manually editing the app settings file, but after saving the file and running the app, it reverts to 'local.language=en'.
It looks like none of the combo boxes in the app are working.

EDIT: I found a solution!
Go to C:/Program Files/Electronic Arts/EA Desktop/EA Desktop/locales and change the name of en_GB.pak file to any other one then find your language.pak and rename it to en_GB.pak.
EDIT2: I was afraid the language „Polski” in combobox of game download will be a fake (because of the renamed files) but after installation the game is in Polish so…

I disable the touch screen in windows, then the selection box can be open and change language.

Hi there,

To change the language in the EA app, follow these steps:

Open the EA app and log in to your EA Account.

Click the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top-left corner, or click your EA ID in the top-right corner.

Select Settings from the dropdown menu.

Go to the Application tab.

Under Application settings, find the Language dropdown menu.

Choose your preferred language from the list.

The language dropdown is unresponsive. Clicking it does nothing.
I can't change it from the default English.
