Unable to launch game due to "not owning the game"

I've been working with the support to try and resolve this, but they directed me to the forums.

I can't launch my Red Alert 3 from my library. I bought the game back when it came out on CD-Rom and added it on Origin as was required. After the update to the EA-app (and I think the launch of the C&C remastered collection). The game no longer is able to download as I get an error messages stating:

Which is silly as I'm looking at the CD-Rom lying in front of me.

The game doesn't have its own gamehub and the only option under the three dots is to download it, which gives this error.

Having down the usual gamut of uninstalling, repairing, cache clearing, restarting etc. The service team couldn't help me further and directed me to post over here. Is there anyone who can help me out?

This is an update on my last post. I was able to reload Red Alert 3 from the DVD. To do this I had to set the compatibility mode of each executable on the DVD to Windows Vista. After doing this the game loaded. Further, the game displayed in the EA app as loaded, but it would not launch from the app. When I tried to launch it from the App, the App indicated that it did not exist and had to be loaded. When I tried to load I received an error which locked up the EA App. To clear the locked App I had to run the App recovery. That being said, I could run the game from the desk top short cut. This will suffice for now, but the EA App needs to be fixed.

Yes. I am having the same exact problem. They broke it. Might as well use a repack copy of the game. You do own it. It is not your fault that they are not honoring the agreement and letting you install the game.

I guess I can try using the key from my DVD copy. Is there a place you can enter keys in the EA App?
