I am yet another person in this category of a phony account being created using my email address (this happened today). Got an email with a security code; subsequently tried logging in via the website (not via the email links) and changed password, saw the account and username had been newly created. I did not previously have an EA account, am not a gamer. I tried opening a "case" about this via EA help but even that didn't work--after submitting it, doesn't look like a case was actually generated... This really sucks. It really seems impossible to get help with this. Thinking of contacting someone at corporate HQ as someone else suggested earlier in this thread... If anyone has any further pointers, would love to know.
